The Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” continues to provide students and the wider public with opportunities to develop practical knowledge and skills with direct application in the modern business and personal environment through meetings with experienced professionals. In this spirit, a guest lecture and workshop on negotiation, sales, and communication will be held, led by Ivan Štibl, an ICF PCC coach, business consultant, trainer, and founder of the podcast “Ćalac,” with more than twenty years of experience gained in multinational companies and working with teams as an external trainer.
The starting point of the lecture is based on a simple, yet often overlooked insight—that an individual can almost always achieve more in collaboration with others than independently. However, accepting this idea opens up a range of complex questions: how to build quality relationships, how to align different interests, and how to make decisions in dynamic, uncertain, and often high-pressure situations.
The lecture focuses on understanding negotiation as an everyday process that goes far beyond formal business meetings. Through a combination of theoretical frameworks and practical examples, participants will have the opportunity to recognize where negotiation actually takes place: within teams, in client relationships, in social interactions, as well as in personal decisions and setting boundaries.
Special emphasis will be placed on understanding intuitive patterns people use in negotiations, the most common mistakes they make, and developing a clear structure that enables greater stability, confidence, and efficiency in communication. Participants will gain insight into principles of preparation, expectation management, and decision-making in uncertain conditions, along with practical tools applicable in both professional and personal contexts.
The event is intended for students who want to develop practical skills relevant to the modern business environment, as well as for anyone who recognizes the importance of negotiation and communication as key competencies for long-term professional and personal development.
