Students of the Faculty of Organizational Studies Eduka participated in an international research project conducted in cooperation with the University of Slavonski Brod, the results of which were presented in 2026 through two scientific papers published in international M22-category journals, Education Sciences and Metodički ogledi.

A total of 141 students from Serbia and Croatia participated in the research, including 72 students from the Faculty of Organizational Studies Eduka. The research was conducted in cooperation between Prof. Dr. Ivana Jošanov-Vrgović and colleagues from the University of Slavonski Brod.

The common research framework focused on the experiences and attitudes of young people in the context of the contemporary European educational and professional environment, their awareness of the European Union, educational and mobility opportunities, intercultural openness, as well as the importance of competencies that can facilitate further education and participation in the international labor market. The results highlight the importance of awareness and education in shaping the way students perceive opportunities for mobility, intercultural exchange, and their own future professional development.

For the Faculty, it is particularly important that our students directly contributed to the implementation of the research and the creation of scientific publications through their participation. Their willingness to engage in research activities enables the topics addressed in our courses to be examined through the real experiences of the student population, while also allowing Eduka to be part of broader international academic cooperation.

We would like to extend our special thanks to our students who took the time to participate in the research. Their openness, engagement, and willingness to contribute to scientific research are an important part of projects of this kind and a prerequisite for ensuring that students’ voices and experiences are represented in research addressing young people, education, and their future professional opportunities.

The results of the research have been published in the following papers:
„Self-Perceived EU Informedness and Students’ Attitudes Towards Mobility and Intercultural Contact“
„Exploring the Effect of Informedness About the EU on Instrumentality-Promotion Motivation to Use English in Croatian and Serbian Higher Education“
